Live acoustic guitar and voice, brought to funerals and memorials with the same care as any performance, just with a very different kind of listening.
Based on the NSW South Coast, this service brings together years of experience performing live acoustic music at hundreds of events across the Southern Highlands, Sydney, South Coast, and greater NSW: weddings, functions, and everything in between. What that experience adds up to for a funeral or memorial is simple: someone who can read a room, adjust on the fly, and stay composed no matter what the day brings.
A funeral asks something different of a musician than a celebration does. There's no room for a wrong note struck too loudly, no space for filler, every song needs to land the way it's meant to. That's the standard this is held to, whether it's a well-known hymn, a quiet instrumental during a slideshow of photos, or a song the family associates strongly with the person being farewelled.
Two songs, chosen by the family, are learned specifically for every service as part of the standard package, because the right song, played properly, can say something words can't.
A short call or message to talk through the date, the venue, and what kind of music feels right, as much or as little detail as you'd like to give.
Any special requests are learned well ahead of the day, so they're ready to be played exactly as intended, no surprises on the day.
Arriving early to set up quietly, staying flexible around the celebrant or officiant's run sheet, and playing through the service and wake without needing to be managed.
There's no obligation in getting in touch, just a conversation about whether this is the right fit for the service.
